Louis-Philippe gilt-wood mirror with engraved floral decoration — 19th century

Louis-Philippe period mirror of rectangular form with an arched top, in gilded wood and stucco.

The principal moulding presents an enveloping profile, adorned with engraved friezes on a gold ground, composed of scrolling foliage and stylised floral motifs.

The work alternates matte and burnished areas. Fine gilded patina with warm tonalities.

Original antique gilding and mirror plate showing wear consistent with age.
