A rare and elegant pair of Italian table lamps combining striking 1980s Murano glass work with an architectural brass structure. Each lamp is composed of a polished brass cubic base surmounted by four faces of thick amber-gold tinted Murano glass, cut and polished with clean edges. This glass typical of Murano productions of the 1970s-1980s offers a remarkable luminous depth when the lamp is lit, diffusing a warm light. The lampshades, of Italian origin, rectangular in form, are clothed in black fabric and lined internally with a gilt coating creating a sophisticated contrast and fine luminous reflection when lit. The whole forms a powerful and decorative duo typical of high-end Italian design of the 1980s. New electrical work. Italy, 20th century.
