Delightful corner cabinet in polychrome painted and lacquered wood, with curved front, opening with two doors. It is entirely decorated with a theatrical court scene, in a neo-classical spirit, with characters in antique-inspired costumes and monumental architecture. The pediment is adorned with gilded palmettes on a black background, also repeated in the side frames. The deep red interior features two shelves. The hardware and lock are original. French work from the late 19th/early 20th century, circa 1900 in the style of theater sets and historicist genre painting.
