The 1800s - 1850s collection

Elégant pastel sur papier représentant Léda et le cygne, inspiré du mythe antique dans lequel Zeus prend l'apparence d'un cygne pour séduire Léda. Le sujet est traité ici avec une grande douceur et une sensibilité romantique typique des premières décennies du XIXe siècle. Le modelé délicat du visage, la palette subtile et le format ovale confèrent à cette composition une atmosphère intime et raffinée. Encadrement doré d'époque XIXe siècle avec sa protection arrière en papier bleu.

Elégante console en bois sculpté présentant sa patine ancienne, typique du style Louis XVI, début XIXe siècle (circa 1800-1820) Elle repose sur quatre pieds fuselés et cannelés se terminant par des dés de raccord ornés de fleurettes sculptées. La ceinture présente un décor raffiné de rosaces et de guirlandes ajourées, ainsi qu'un motif central en applique. Le plateau probablement un ajout ancien, en bois peint en imitation marbre noir veiné de brun doré, réalisé au XIXe siècle. Cette marbrure confère à l'ensemble une présence décorative très élégante. Bon état. Patine ancienne.

Baromètre-thermomètre En Bois Doré de Benard à Provins à échelle Réaumur, XIXe siècle" (Barometer-thermometer in gilded wood by Benard in Provins with Réaumur scale, 19th century) Elegant Louis XVI-style gilded wood and green lacquered barometer by Benard à Provins, carved and decorated with knotted ribbons, foliage and garlands. French work by Bénard à Provins, a company specialized in the manufacture of scientific instruments in the 19th century. The instrument includes a barometer with under-glass dial, and an alcohol thermometer based on the Réaumur scale.

Set comprising a pair of turned and molded cherrywood armchairs, the banded backs topped with blackened wood balls, applied with stars and a gilded brass lion's head, the rounded armrests finished with gilded brass lion's heads, resting on sheathed front legs finished with ball glides and saber-shaped back legs. Pair accompanied by a curved stool. Restoration period. Recently upholstered.

Beautiful 19th-century painted tin planter featuring a hand-painted Romantic scene of a female figure in a bucolic landscape, typical of early 19th-century taste. The ensemble is enriched by fine details such as zoomorphic handles and paw feet, typical of Neoclassical and Romantic influences. The planter is lined with a fixed zinc bowl. The object shows signs of wear and patina, reflecting its age. Good overall condition. 

Gilded wood and black lacquered trumeau, twisted gilded wood column on each side, decorated with palmettes. Engraving or watercolor on top. 19th century.
